The tough part here is to first cross the chola pass border itself at 5420m and this trip takes approximately 18 to 21 days and goes through both the gokyo lake area and the everest basecamp. You will start your trek in lukla after an unforgettable half and hour flight from Kathmandu in a twin ottor aircraft. You will visit namche bazaar and spend 2 night exploring the small city as you acclimatize in preparation for going higher. Namche bazar has all the amenities a trekking could want including clothing stores trekking shops, coffee shops bakeries and even the highest Irish pub in the world. Along the way to EBC you can find a remote monastery in tengboche as well as numerous Buddhist stupas.
